ER. Susan/Abby. Femslash-Fluff. Abby’s Flat, Quitting Smoking.

Title: She’s Like Nicotine.
Author: Allie Summers.
Disclaimer: Not Mine.
Description: Not much. Susan and Abby become friends after a time and when Dr Mark Greene dies Susan finds that Abby is a v. good friend and also finds that she’s attracted to Abby. She notes that Abby appears to be trying to quit smoking…and failing…she soon finds a way to help Abby stop…

Abby watched Susan from the window. She’d already lit her second cigarette of the day and it was only…3 AM… she and Susan had come back to her flat after Mark’s memorial. Susan had been heart-broken and Abby had felt sorry for her. Abby already knew she was attracted to Susan…she didn’t dare hope Susan felt the same… sighing she stubbed out her cigarette and flicked her dark hair out of brown eyes. She was determined to quit smoking eventually…

Susan turned to look at Abby…smiling slightly. “Still not quit smoking then?” she asked, blue eyes sparkling with laughter. Her blonde hair had been cut when she came back but it had re-grown even longer than before. She looked kind, almost innocent, but her mind was racing…she’d been attracted to Abby a long time ago but she’d disguised it…now, now she found herself longing for Abby’s touch. She crossed to stand at the window, face to face with Abby… she was faintly surprised by the open tenderness and love in Abby’s eyes.

“I…I can’t quit alone…” Abby’s voice shook, nerves probably.

“I’ll help.” Susan promised, taking Abby’s hand in her own. She didn’t try to explain it away, just looked at Abby, her own eyes shining with love.

Abby was the first to make a move, stepping forward and kissing Susan softly. When Susan didn’t pull back and enmeshed a hand in her hair, pulling her closer, deepening the kiss, Abby finally dared to smile.
