"You're sure?" asked Serena, wondering what sort of fallout there would be in the press the next day over that.
"I was, but Olivia didn't recognise it...." retorted Alex smugly.
"Why not?" asked Serena, grabbing piece of carrot - that was the great thing about snacking with Alex and Olivia - she could balance her craving for grease with her guilt about breaking the diet....
"It didn't look like mine..." explained Alex, angling the laptop screen towards Serena so she could see the picture.
"No, it wouldn't..." agreed Serena, recognising the star with her all too obviously enhanced 'assets', "...I can understand now why you thought she..." she trailed off and gestured at the 'English' (only when it suited her, mainly for tax reasons) actress just finishing an interview, "...brought class..."
It was snarky, it was punchy...it was exactly why Alex loved Serena's company when they watched these programmes - she could bitch about women in a way Olivia just...couldn't....
