“It’s over Linds…” Stella murmured softly, cradling the crying woman to her, stroking her back and hair lightly. “It’s just a memory…” Her brown eyes were gentle and she ignored the fact her curly brown hair was in one big mess…she was far more concerned about Lindsay. “Shhh…I’m here…it’s ok…”
Linds’ eyes shone with tears and her hair was a complete mess. She sniffed a little and buried her head into Stella’s neck. “I…They…It…My past…” Her words made little sense but Stella understood.
“I’m here now…you’re safe…It’s ok…” She continued soothing Linds…her hands rubbed Linds’ back and hair as she gently kissed Linds’ forehead. Linds sighed and shifted in Stella’s lap, raising her eyes to look at Stella. Stella smiled gently and kissed Linds softly. “I love you…”
