Challenge: Seven/someone (Voyager), bridge, parrot
Disclaimer: No ownership, simply fluff.
Note: I could only work this using Janeway. Seven is involved in a big way though.
Captain Kathryn Janeway eased into the hot bath scented with lavender oils and closed her eyes as she leaned back in the tub. Lightly rubbing her hand across her forehead, she whispered, ‘Oh God, what a day.’
Her morning had begun quite lovely actually. Seven of Nine had awakened her in a most enjoyable way, and the captain was frankly surprised how strong her reactions were to Seven’s ministrations. The two had only been sleeping for two hours after a long night of love making, and Kathryn truly didn’t think she had another round in her. Apparently, she'd been wrong.
Seven had kissed her brow and left before any of the crew members had begun to stir, repeating a ritual in which she'd become quite adept. The captain and her astrometrics crew member had been secretly seeing each other for over a month, but Kathryn wasn't ready to let the rest of the ship in on the relationship.
Dressing and preparing for her day, Kathryn went to the dining area to replicate a cup of coffee, and a voice from behind her almost made her drop her mug. Twirling around, with phaser raised, she immediately caught sight of Naomi’s parrot, Rainbow.
Neelix had presented the child with the parrot on her last birthday, and now that Naomi was in quarantine because of a mysterious case of what appeared to be the measles, Kathryn had volunteered to keep the parrot until the young girl recovered.

Rainbow sat on his perch and just looked at Catherine. Every few minutes, he'd squawk out, “Bwrak, Kathryn. Bwrak, Kathryn.”
Janeway retrieved a cracker from a nearby box and handed it to Rainbow who took it in his talon. Nibbling on the treat, he changed his tune. “Bwrak, cracker. Bwrak, cracker.”
Shaking her head, the captain exited her quarters and headed for the bridge, and arriving at precisely 0800, she asked Commander Chakotay for a status report. Satisfied that all was well, she retired to her ready room.
The captain worked on the crew’s evaluations for the rest of the morning with only a minimum of interruptions, none of which required her immediate attention. Taking a short break for lunch, Janeway relaxed in her chair and consumed her replicated meal with the sounds of Beethoven softly playing in the background.
Soon afterward, Seven of Nine requested entrance, and Kathryn gladly granted it. The voluptuous young woman stood at attention in front of the captain's desk and gave her report on an anomaly which posed a possible problem to the ship’s engines. Janeway asked her lover for a recommendation, and Seven suggested taking a course which would avoid the area of space completely.
Janeway immediately hit her comm badge and relayed her orders to Chakotay, and then gave Seven's exact coordinates which would take Voyager away from the potential problem.
After Chakotay acknowledged the orders, Kathryn requested her lover join her for tea, and the two women sat at the small table, taking advantage of the quiet time before Seven had to return to her duty station.
At 1500 hours, the shit hit the fan. A ruckus was heard outside the ready room, and the captain didn’t waste any time confronting the problem. The doors leading to the bridge swished open, and the loud talking and laughing immediately ceased.
Janeway scanned the area from left to right and directed a lethal glare at each and every crew member, but her eyes softened when they fell upon the diminutive Naomi Wildman.

Naomi smiled and almost ran to the captain; however, she was slowed somewhat by the parrot she was holding. When she finally reached the captain, she engulfed her legs in a one armed hug and said, “Thank you so much, Captain, for looking after Rainbow. Neelix got permission from Commander Chakotay to retrieve him from your quarters. I hope that was okay?”
Still confused as to what all the fuss was about, Janeway tried to maintain a pleasant voice and replied, “You’re welcome, Naomi. He wasn’t a bit of a problem.”
A stifled laugh came from Tom Paris, and Kathryn immediately turned her sights on him. “Something wrong, Mr. Paris.”
Turning red, Tom replied, “Huh? Oh no, Captain. Everything's great.”
Samantha Wildman quickly moved forward to retrieve Naomi and thanked the captain for her generosity, and the mother and daughter turned to leave the bridge when Rainbow suddenly came alive.
“Bwrak, Yes! Yes! Bwrak, I’m coming, Seven. Bwrak, don’t stop.”
Janeway froze in place, and every crew member on the bridge looked down to avoid eye contact with their captain.
Innocently, Naomi asked, “Did Seven play with Rainbow, too?”
Commander Chakotay laughed aloud, and then quickly lifted his hand to his mouth as Samantha ushered a confused Naomi off the bridge while the other crew members scurried to their posts to try to look busy.
Captain Janeway glanced around the room before turning her focus on Chakotay. She looked him directly in the eye and ordered, “You have the bridge, Commander. I’ll be in my ready room.”
The doors swiftly closed behind her, and she walked to her chair and plopped down, muttering, ‘Good Lord, the cat’s definitely out of the bag now. Too bad it didn’t get out in time to eat that damn parrot.”
Janeway hid away in her ready room until she was sure the Alpha shift had left the bridge. Knowing how fast word traveled on the ship, she'd figured the current crew was probably aware of what had transpired, but at least, they weren’t witness to it.
At 1900 hours, the captain pulled her shoulders back and walked through the doors of the ready room, nodding at the command chair before leaving the bridge.
Allowing herself to slide down further into the tub, Janeway submerged herself under the water. When she surfaced, Seven of Nine was sitting on the edge and asked, “Good evening Kathryn, how was your day?”
All the embarrassment from earlier faded to the background when Seven looked at her with such love and adoration. Kathryn smiled at the young woman and replied, “Why don’t you take off you clothes and climb in with me? You can hold me while I’ll tell you all about it. And then you can help me come up with a recipe for parrot stew.”
